About Us

Meet Our Company

In 1948, the year after India's independence, in the then Salem district (which included present-day Namakkal, Dharmapuri, and Erode), the Salem Jilla Lorry Owners Association was established for the welfare of lorry owners and the transport industry.

The Association was started with Late Mr. C.K. Nallappa Mudaliyar as President, Late Mr. S. Govindarajalu Naidu as Secretary, and Late Mr. G. Ramachandra Naidu as Treasurer, providing benefits despite limited resources.

In 1963–64, the Association started Burmah Shell (now BPCL) and Caltex (now HPCL) Diesel & Petrol outlets. Initially rented out, these outlets were taken over in 1978 and run successfully by the Association.

By 1982, land was purchased at Nethimedu for an HPC outlet. Persistent efforts led to the establishment of a lorry stand at Gunnduchetty Lake Ground, inaugurated in 1989 by Hon. Minister Veerapandi S. Arumugam.

On 25-06-1987, the "State Lorry Owners Federation - Tamil Nadu" was formed in Salem, uniting truck owner associations across the state.

On 27-06-1997, a modern BPC Diesel & Petrol outlet was inaugurated at Kandampatty By-Pass Road, serving customers with high-quality fuel in large volumes.
